The safety valve lid is situated under the handle, ensuring that the steam is safely deflected downwards when the valve is activated. The gasket has minimal exposure to steam inside the cooker, and it does not rub against the lid every time the product is opened and closed, allowing it to last for an extended period. The handles feature a keep-cool design, and the fixed, sturdy pivot does not put pressure on the plastic handle, as it is part of the metal handle, resulting in longer-lasting handles.
Recommended for use on a variety of cooktops, including gas, electric, halogen, ceramic, and induction, the Hawkins classic pressure cooker is ideal for 3 or 4 people.
